Kinfolio Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 October 2026. Kinfolio is a portfolio app for iPhone and iPad. It does not create a Kinfolio account, it does not connect to a broker, and it does not run a server that stores your portfolios.

What stays in your iCloud

Portfolios, transactions, holdings, and notes are stored in your personal iCloud account with CloudKit. They sync to other devices signed into the same Apple ID. The developer of Kinfolio cannot read that data.

Sharing

If you invite another Apple ID, that person can view and edit the portfolio you chose to share. You choose who receives the invitation. Deleting a shared portfolio removes it for everyone.

On this device

Face ID, Touch ID, Optic ID, or your device passcode is used only to unlock Kinfolio. Biometric information stays on the device and is handled by Apple. Kinfolio does not receive it or store it.

Prices and headlines

To show delayed prices, exchange rates, and headlines, Kinfolio sends ticker symbols and currency codes to Yahoo Finance. It does not send quantities, costs, notes, or your Apple ID with those requests. Yahoo’s own privacy policy applies to that request.

What Kinfolio does not do

Kinfolio does not show advertising, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not sell data. There is no analytics account.
